Trip to Pangandaran

My family and I went to Pangandaran when I was sixth grader. That was a long holiday between the semesters. We went there by car. My father hired a driver to drive the car. It spent six hours to reach Pangandaran from Bandung.

When we arrived at Pangandaran, my mother proposed my father to order an inn immediately for us. We arrived at Pangandaran at 3 o’clock. It was pretty hard to find an inn in holiday season near Pangandaran. But finally we got an in with cozy rooms, reasonable price, and the location is near with Pangandaran beach. Actually the inn was a house of Pangandaran inhabitant. Apparently other inns belong to the inhabitant of Pangandaran too. I was very tired. I had been sleeping in the inn since 4 pm until 5.30 pm.

When I woke up, my family was going to go outside. They wanted to eat seafood at the cottage at the side along the beach. So I joined them because I felt hungry too. We went there on foot. I really enjoyed the scenery. All of us ate different seafood. It made us could taste and share the food each other.

After that, we saw the sunset. Apparently not only us, but also a lot of people had been waiting for the sunset. I was very amazed. What a perfect sunset! I could see that big orange sun sank in front of us really clearly. That made me remembered to the greatness of God. Then we prayed Maghrib.

At night, I walked along the beach with my brother and sister. The night in Pangandaran was busy. A lot of people, especially abroad tourists walked near the restaurants. The road was filled by the activity of many vehicles. The coupled bicycle was the unique vehicle I saw. It has three saddles and three pedals. It was really fit for my brother, sister, and I. We decided to hire and ride it tomorrow because of the time had shown late night.

In the morning, I woke up at 4 am. Then I prayed Subuh. Then, my sister reminded my brother and I about our plan to ride coupled bicycle. The weather was drizzled. But we still decided to ride the coupled bike. At the beginning, my sister sat at the front saddle, I sat in the middle, and my brother sat at the back. But, the bike was not working well, because the front rider’s role was the hardest. And my sister was not strong enough to handle it. So my sister switched her position with my brother. Finally, the bike worked, even we could ride it very quickly and overtook other coupled bicycle.

When we came back to the inn, we just realized that we missed the sunrise. But fortunately we would stay in Pangandaran for one more day, so we could see sunrise tomorrow. In the afternoon, we went to the cave near Pangandaran. I saw many monkeys played at the tree. We had to be careful because monkeys liked to steal our belongings. And I saw a deer too. It was a little strange to me to see a deer at the beach. The tour guide said that the water rose, so the cave was covered, and could not be visited.

The next day, we saw sunrise together. Then we packed our stuff. We were ready to go home. But before that, we would go to Green Canyon. It’s located not too far from Pangandaran. There, we rode a boat. Our main destination was the cave and canyon with a little water flow, fully equipped with stalactite. We took some pictures with a pretty dangerous pose.

After that, we went home safely. That was a fun and nice holiday.
