My School Life

Today I want to share about my school life, at SMAN 3 Bandung. I’ve been studying here since a month ago. Actually not only studying, but also doing and experiencing a lot of things. The school life is beyond my expectation. Do you want to know it? I’ll tell you then.

SMAN 3 Bandung

Monday, 27^th July 2015 was my first day at SMAN 3 Bandung and my first school day after about 2 months holiday. It’s just like wake up from hibernation hahaha. I thought the MOPD (orientation period for new students) in this school would be cruel, like the most of movie I had watched.  But the reality was 180 degree reversed. The seniors were very kind and helpful.

On that day, new students were gathered in multi-purpose room, or the other name is school hall. Our headmaster, Mr. Encang gave us welcome and also advice to be successful. He told us that the strategy to be a good student is only 2B, “belajar dan berdoa” (studying and praying). We were also introduced with the teachers. Some teachers explained about the school programs.
 

Belitung Street and SMAN 3 Bandung

There were some tasks from the seniors. For example: making POST book, pen, and name tag, all along with determined regulation such as cover, page, color, size, etc. We also had group task, it’s making something from newspaper. We were commanded to stop our vehicle at certain spot when we came to school. Some seniors stood there and recorded our time of departure. For me, it’s unique.

From the extracurricular demo, I knew that this school had a lot of extracurricular, such as debate club, English club, Futsal club, Mosque club, Badminton club, Drama club, Basketball club, and many more. I’ve planned to join badminton club and mosque club. My school has organization too. OSIS and PK are the examples. Maybe I will join one of them. About the place of our sport extracurricular, we usually use the “lapangan Bali” (Bali field). It means a field in Bali street. Actually it’s not only field, but it has a sport hall too in it.

My recent activity is joining Qurban Committee. I join Para Pencari Hewan (PPH) division. Our main task as this division is searching for animals for Qurban. We have surveyed some place, like farm or Qurban Animals seller. We compared all the sources. We will choose the cheapest price with the best quality, so we can buy more. I really like to join this committee. It makes me more responsible, sociable, and rich of experience.

Once, our Qurban mentor, Kang Haki, offered us to request story about SMAN 3. Yeah you know what we’re going to request. Definitely we wanted to know about scary stories in SMA 3!! He told us that one of his friend ever possessed by the spirit of the school’s invisible inhabitant. And he said that it happened for a day. Then, he told us the second scary thing in SMA 3. He said that it’s much scarier than the first story. What’s that? It’s the examination and the tasks in SMA 3. Hahahaha that’s the funniest scary story I’ve ever heard. But unfortunately that’s extremely true, LOL.

SMAN 3 Bandung in the past

Something I salute from my school is the harmony with our neighbor school, SMAN 5 Bandung. There’s no quarrel between us. We share our mosque, canteen, corridor, ceremony field, and also Lapangan Bali. That happen because we realize that we are family, we are SMA Belitung.

About my classmates and teachers, they are superb. My competitors are very smart and diligent. I know it won’t be easy to be the best here, but I’m sure I could. With eagerness and spirit to learn, nothing is impossible. “Knowledge is Power, but Character is More”. I will also increase my ability, beside in subjects. I know that my future will need great character too. I will utilize my Senior High period fully. So I can explore all I have. My school is big, I won’t let it empty, I will fill it with my large success and achievements :).

Describing person

Who is he?

He is Indonesian football player. His position is striker. He is the part of Indonesian Football National team. His hair color is white. His strongest foot to kick is left foot. He is not young anymore (as football player). He is a little bit fat now. He has won the Indonesian  top scorer title for 5 times. He changed his nationality from Uruguay citizen to be Indonesian in 2010. Now, he plays for Arema Cronus Indonesia. His wife is an Indonesian woman. His debut for Indonesian  national team is on AFF Suzuki Cup 2010. He is well known with his good finishing shoot, positioning, and especially ball keeping. He started his career in Indonesia with Persik Kediri. His impressive performance made Persib Bandung was attracted, then contracted him. Then he continued his career in Persisam. His last team he joined is Arema Cronus Indonesia. Although he is not young anymore, his performance is still excellent. His productivity in making goals for his team is really amazing.

Xie Jun : Oh, don’t mention it, you deserve for it. Your hard work is the key of your success.

Vlado : I just do all my best in the exercise and on the race I just give that all. Fortunately all the things ran smoothly yesterday. By the way, will you join the speech contest next month? I heard this information from my teacher.

Xie Jun : Yes, I’ve been preparing for the speech.

Vlado : Don’t worry, your speech talent is very superior. Hope you win it.

IT'S ALL ABOUT MY FRIEND

IT’S ALL ABOUT MY FRIEND

Hi, today I want to tell you about one of my best friend. His name is Naafi Ardhika. He was born on fourteenth of January 2000. He lives at Cikutra Street number 85-H, Bandung. He lives with his mother, his father, and a little sister. He is the first child. His little sister’s name is Annisa Dewi Arsanti.

He is not my new friend, because we went to same school before, 2 Junior High School Bandung. Now we go to 3 Senior High School Bandung. When I was seventh grader, Naafi is the first person I acquainted with, although we went to different Elementary School. We were classmates and seatmates in the seventh grade then we become classmates and seatmates again now, in the tenth grade. He is a smart student and a good competitor for me at school. Sometimes I got the first rank and he got the second rank, and sometimes it reversed.

 His favorite subject is Economy. He wants to be a successful businessman in the future.

His hobbies are playing badminton and cycling. When we were junior high students, we joined same extracurricular. We joined badminton club. We usually played badminton as double players. In case of playing badminton, my skill was a little bit better than him. In case of cycling he is very excel and experienced. Moreover if it is compared with me who is not interested in cycling. He knows all about type of bikes, good cycling tracks in Bandung, also cycling accessories and equipment.

His favorite foods are fried rice and soto. But as long as I know he also likes to eat other Indonesian food. He said that the spices of fried rice and sate make the food very special. I agree with him about that. He does not like to eat hot foods because he easily gets stomachache after eating hot foods.

His target in tenth grade is to get good rank at class. He wants to get SNMPTN track to ITB just like me.

His inspiring person is Soekarno. He likes how Soekarno led Indonesian nation with spirit and bravery, so could grab Indonesian independence. He thinks that Soekarno is one of the greatest leaders in the world ever. Soekarno made his own decision firmly, without any doubt. Soekarno was very loyal to his nation. He never betrayed his nation although the colonialists asked him to cooperate with many enticements.

IT’S ALL ABOUT ME

            My name is Reyhan Widya Rahman. My nickname is Reyhan. I am fifteen years old. I study at 3 Senior High School Bandung. I am in tenth grade now. I was born in Bandung, on sixth of April 2000. I live at Cimindi Raya Residence block AF number 6 in Cimahi City. I really like to live there, because it is located near a mosque, a field, and a garden. My house is not very spacious, but it is very cool and cozy because a lot of plants grow surrounding my house.

            I live with my father, mother, and sister. Actually I have one brother, his name is Taufik Widyanugraha, but he lives in Manado now, because he has to work there, for PLN company. He is 25 years old. He studied at 3 Senior High School too and graduated on 2008. My sister’s name is Rafika Widyarisa. She is 27 years old. She works for Bumiputera Insurance Company in Bandung. My father and my mother don’t go to work anymore because they have retired.
 

My family

            I have a lot of hobbies, such as playing badminton, swimming, fishing, playing football, and many more. But, recently my hobby is playing guitar. I learn to play guitar autodidactic. I watch youtube to look for guitar tutorial. I usually play guitar only on weekend. I also have some pets. But the pet that take my interest for now is my guppy fish. Why? Because I successfully breed it! This is the third generation. On the beginning, I only have four guppy fish. But now, I have thirty five guppy fish! My fish are very beautiful and easy to be taken care. I think breeding fish can make money.

              My favorite foods are all Indonesian foods. I love all the spice in those dishes. It always makes my mood gets better. The taste is very much suitable with my tongue. Beside the taste, eating Indonesian foods also make me proud to be Indonesian with all of its culinary richness. My favorite drinks are milk, fruit juice, and yoghurt. My favorite drinks always help me get fresher and calm my mind down. But my bad habit is never consider the nutrition contents of the foods or drinks that I consume.

Indonesian Food

              My favorite subjects are mathematics, science, and English. From mathematics, I learn to use my logic and be thorough. From science, I learn to be curious and zealous. From English, I learn to be communicative person. In the future, I want to be an entrepreneur.

            Now, I want to do my best at school, because I want to get SNMPTN track to ITB. I think it will not be easy, because I have a lot of competitor. But with optimism, diligence, and praying, there are no difficulties except as challenges to make me better.

            My inspiring person is Prophet Muhammad SAW. He was very intelligent, humble, friendly, patient, and generous. He was not only had a lot of knowledge, but also had very good character. He never complained about his trouble, but he strove wholeheartedly and prayed with all of his humility and faith to God. My other inspiring people are Lionel Messi, Che Guevara, Soekarno, and Pablo Picasso. Lionel Messi representates my passion in sport, Che Guevara and Soekarno representate my passion in nationalism and politics, Pablo Picasso representates my passion in art.
