for Better Future in the World

We
live in the epoch of knowledge. We breathe in the air of curiosity. We all know
that we are born to compete in this huge scientific world. A lot of meritorious
and famous scientists we know from our text book (such as Albert Einstein,
Thomas Alva Edison, etc) had involved. Many brilliant inventions have been
simplifying our daily life. For example, I type this task with electronic
equipments and then publish it with internet. But, many problems still have not
finished yet. We need more progresses in science.
Beside about science,
this world also has many more challenges, such us how to bring peace for all
countries and nations, how to remove terrorism, how to keep our natural
sources, etc.
So, what kind of
education and learning that would help us address the challenges and create a
sustainable world and a better life for all? Let’s elaborate it together.
First: MENTALITY AND
CHARACTER.

We should prioritize age 6-12 at character building, because it is when they are still very flexible.
Second: MORE LEARNING
BY INVENTING
Understanding
theory is not the main goal of learning. But, finding or making something
beneficial for human race is the real product of learning. So, learning by inventing
since young age is very recommended. It will trigger their curiosity,
responsibility, and automatically understanding something by their own point of
view, which is important for their future. Learning by inventing also enrich
problem solving skill, so the students will be ready for the competitive world
after they are graduated.
But, this learning
program should be supported by sufficient infrastructure, such as laboratory,
etc. Keep in mind that inventing is not always about science and mathematics. Even,
a discussion about how to make a good school organization can be considered as
inventing action.
Third: INDIVIDUAL
APPROACH TO EACH STUDENT
A
lot of students face difficulties in learning from their teacher. It is not
because they are lazy or something bad, but they need particular education
method. We know that there are three main learning styles of students, audio
(listening), visual (seeing), and kinesthetic (physical activities). Each
student definitely have tendency to learn in one learning style from three mentioned
styles.
For example, sometimes,
teachers force their students for always focusing their sight to the teacher
while explaining. It might be unpleasant for the student with dominant listening
style. They get warned by the teacher because they seem like don’t paying
attention while actually they do, by listening.
And usually the most
troubled student is the kinesthetic one. They could not settle in their seat
constantly because they need physical activity in learning. The best way for
them is practice work or learning with media.
So, the conclusion for
this point is teacher need to understand and be tolerant with all the
difference. The teacher should be aware whether their students are pleased with
the method or not. And teachers have to find the good teaching manner for all
students with their learning styles.
Fourth: MAKE A GOOD
COOPERATION WITH PARENTS FOR BETTER PROGRESS

Teenagers need right
person to share about their problems at school or anything else. And their
parents are the best support for them with the advice and caring. Just give a little time to ask how they pass
their exam, how is the result of the tournament they joined, or whether they
already have a crush.
It might seem so
simple, but it has powerful meaning for their children. It makes them get
closer, feel loved and cared. Also, parents need to consult their children’s
progress with their teacher. The more parents know about their children, the
more they become intimate. Parents can evaluate what lessons that their child
is still weak at. They can discuss it together calmly to solve it and make a
better progress in the future.
